Grant ear, be gracious and attend to prayer; also annul and calm wrath. Those who come to entreat You with a bitter soul—in Your great Name may they find help: Behold the cry of those who sigh, their humility; the bending of their stature, please do not despise; seek out their humiliation from the foe and scorner; tread the winepress and sprinkle their triumph: Were You not, and You are still; be and remain in the majesty of Your pride, and may the seed of Your faithful be firmly established, and destroy them that are weapons of the assault of Your wrath: They were enraged among the ruins and from the desirable places they were torn out; they were scattered to the ends and found no rest; their spirit was ruined and they sank to the dust; plowmen plowed and drew long furrows: They sank in the mire and there is none to rescue; their predators plundered from end to end; day by day their warrior triumphs; they stretch out a hand to come out from oppression: Their lives are spent in grief and sighing; stumbling has increased and joy has darkened; those who wait for salvation—and behold, a cry; those who rise up to swallow them have dug a pit: They scheme secret counsel from You to drive them away; they make the yoke heavy to weaken their strength; they cry out to You as their spirit faints; they find no ease from the weight of their burden: The speech of those who cry out in a crowded standing; they seek forgiveness with bowed head; their oppressors will provoke them and give them over to plunder; the wicked will melt and become as refuse: Redeem those who cling to You from the gash and destruction; deliver them from the oppressor and raise them high; command salvations for those who seek You in sickness; Rock of worlds, save us openly: Be zealous and avenge, be jealous for Your Name; cut off the yoke from the neck of Your people; see our toil and turn back from Your fury; champion our cause against those of Your ban: Sevenfold return into the bosom of those who oppress me; make the wage of Your arrows from the blood of my tormentors; incline Your ear to the voice of my supplication; favor me when I call, Lord, Lord:

God, King Who sits upon the throne of mercy, and acts with lovingkindness, Who pardons the iniquities of His people, removing them one by one, Who abounds in forgiveness for sinners and pardon for transgressors, Who performs acts of righteousness with all flesh and spirit—not according to their wickedness does He requite them. God, You taught us to recite the Thirteen Attributes; remember for us today the covenant of the Thirteen Attributes,
