Your holy home. The nations heard about Your great strength and trembled with fear. A great fear took hold of the people who lived in the land of Philistia. At that time, the leaders of Edom were panicked, and the mighty men of Moab were trembling, afraid that God would punish them for about the honor the Jewish Nation was receiving. All who lived in the land of Canaan melted away. May fear fall upon our enemies. With the great strength of Your arm, God, let them become as still as a stone. Lord, let them be like stone, until Your nation, the Jewish Nation, crosses over the Arnon river, which flows into the Land of Israel, until this nation, which You took possession of, crosses over the Jordan River. You will bring them to the Land of Israel and plant them firmly and securely on the Temple Mount, Your heritage that You gave them; it is the place that You, Lord, made for Yourself to rest Your Divine Presence—the Sanctuary that You, Lord, set up with Your hands. Then, when we are in the Land of Israel and the Holy Temple is built, everyone will recognize that the Lord will rule as king forever and ever. When Pharaoh's horses, with his chariots and horsemen, went into the sea, the Lord turned the waters of the sea back onto them, and they drowned. At the same time, the Children of Israel walked on dry land through the sea. Miriam, the prophetess, the sister of Moses and Aaron, took the tambourine in her hand, and all the women came out following her with tambourines and dances. Miriam called out to the women, "Sing to the Lord, because He is exalted above any exaltation. The Lord threw both the Egyptian horse and its rider into the sea." Moses caused the Children of Israel to journey from the Sea of Reeds, and they went out to the desert of Shur; they walked for three days in the desert but did not find any water to drink. On the third day they came to Marah. There was water there, but they could not drink the water from Marah because it was bitter. Therefore, the city was called Marah—bitter. The people complained against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?" So he cried out in prayer to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood; he threw it into the water and the water became sweet. It was there that He gave the people some of the statutes as well as some of the laws, and it was there that He tested them regarding the water. Moses said to the Jewish Nation, "If you will accept upon yourselves to listen to the voice of the Lord, your God, and you will do what is proper in His eyes, and you will hear His commandments with the intention to meticulously observe all

His statutes, then, all the sickness and plagues which I have placed upon Egypt I will not place upon you, for I, the Lord, am your Healer; I have given you the Torah and commandments so that you can be spared from any illness or plague."

You shall bring the following animals to the Lord as a burnt-offering, to be completely consumed by fire: two young bulls, one ram, and seven lambs that are less than a year old. They shall be unblemished for you. As their flour-offering, bring three-tenths of an eifah (approximately 6 kg/13.5 lb) of fine flour mixed with olive oil for each bull, two-tenths of an eifah (approximately 4 kg/9 lb) for the ram, and one-tenth of an eifah (approximately 2 kg/4.5 lb) for each lamb of the seven lambs. You should also bring one young male goat as a sin-offering to atone for your sins. You shall bring these offerings besides for the morning burnt-offering, which is offered daily. You shall bring these offerings on each day, for seven days. They are like food and are brought as a fire-offering to make a pleasing smell for the Lord. It shall all be brought in addition to the daily burnt-offering and its wine offering. And just as on the first day of this seven day period, the seventh day shall also be a holy gathering for you; you shall not do any work.

HAFTARAH FOR SEVENTH DAY OF PESACH

The following is the song of praise that King David sang to God for saving him from his enemies, as well as saving the Jewish Nation in general from their enemies, including Pharaoh in Egypt. This is reminiscent of the song that the Jewish Nation sang after the splitting of the Sea of Reeds, which is the Torah portion for the seventh day of Pesach.
