קְרִיאַת הַמְּגִלָּה
THE READING OF THE MEGILLAH
The Megillah is read twice on Purim—once at night, and once during the day.
Before the reading, the Megillah is unrolled and folded into three, and the reader says the following three blessings. Those listening to the reading respond אָמֵן, keeping in mind that they are fulfilling their obligation through the reader. During the day, have in mind that the blessing of Shehechiyanu is also for the other Purim mitzvos: giving charity, gifts of food, and eating the festive meal.
