kingdoms. You are raised above all other rulers. The Lord will be King over the entire earth. On that day, when the Redemption arrives, the Lord will be One, and His name will be One. In Your Torah it is written as follows: Every Jew should listen and understand that the Lord is our God and that the Lord is the one and only ruler and King in the seven heavens, the earth, and the four corners of the universe. The name of God’s glorious kingdom is blessed forever.

Just as You saved the Jewish Nation—together with Yourself—from Egypt when You went out to save Your people, so may You save us now. Just as You saved a nation and Yourself, its God, the people who searched for salvation from You, their God, so may You save us now. Just as You saved the many members of the Jewish Nation from Egypt together with the angels who accompanied them into exile, so may You save us now. Just as You redeemed the pure Jews from Egypt, the house of slavery—gracious God, You put those who made them slaves into their hands—so may You save us now. Just as You saved the Children of Israel, who would have sunk into the depths of the Sea of Reeds had You not split it into sections of dry land—they took Your glory with them across the Sea of Reeds—so may You save us now. Just as You saved Your people who sang “Vayosha” (And He saved), whose letters can be vowelized to be pronounced “Vayivosha” (And He [God] was saved)—so may You save us now. Just as You saved the Jewish Nation, saying, “Vehotzeiti etchem” (I will bring you out), whose letters can be pronounced “Vehutzeiti itchem” (I will be brought out with you)—so may You save us now. Just as You saved those who circled the altar in the Holy Temple, so should You now

save those who are carrying the willow twigs around the bimah. Just as You miraculously saved the Ark, which was taken by the Philistines because of our sins—You punished the Philistines in burning anger and the Ark was saved—so may You save us now. Just as You saved the Jewish communities whom You sent to exile in Babylon—merciful God, You were sent into exile for them—so may You save us now. Just as You saved Jacob’s tribes who were in exile, so should You return and bring back the tents of Jacob—the communities of the Jewish Nation that are in exile—and please save us now.

Save Your people, the Jewish Nation, from their enemies. Bless them in everything they do, because they are Your everlasting inheritance. Take care of them<sup>1</sup> as a shepherd cares for his flock, and raise them above all the other nations forever. May these words of mine, which I have pleaded before the Lord, be near to the Lord, our God, so that He will protect me by day and by night. I have prayed that God should fulfill the needs of His servant and the needs of His people, the Children of Israel, according to each day’s needs. God should fulfill my requests so that all the nations of the world will know that the Lord is God. There is nothing else.
The Torah is returned to the Ark, and the Ark is closed.
