DAYTIME KIDDUSH FOR FESTIVALS AND ROSH HASHANAH
When a festival or Rosh Hashanah occur on Shabbat, say the Kiddush for Shabbat day from מִזְמוֹר through זָכוֹר ... וַיְקַדְּשֵׁהוּ (pages 433-434) quietly, before saying אֵלֶּה מוֹעֲדֵי below.
When a festival occurs on a weekday, say the following before Kiddush:

It says in Psalms: <b>Blow the shofar</b> at the beginning of the month, when the <b>new moon</b> is born, <b>on the day</b> set aside <b>as our festival</b>—Rosh Hashanah. <b>For</b> blowing the shofar <b>is a decree for the Children of Israel</b> on Rosh Hashanah, <b>the day of judgment by the God of Jacob</b>.
When making Kiddush over wine, look at the cup and say:

On Sukkot, when making Kiddush in the sukkah, add the following blessing. Glance at the s'chach (the sukkah covering) while saying the words לֵישֵׁב בַּסֻּכָּה.

HOSHANOT
Each day of Sukkot, including Hoshana Rabbah, Hoshanot are said immediately following Hallel, before Kaddish.
The Ark is opened for Hoshanot.
A Torah scroll is brought to the bimah and held by someone who does not have a lulav and etrog. If all present have a lulav and etrog, the Torah is placed on the bimah.
Those who have a lulav and etrog should hold them throughout Hoshanot with both hands, close to the heart.
While saying each section of Hoshanot, as indicated below, all who have a lulav and etrog (except mourners) circle the bimah counterclockwise, led by the chazzan.
One who does not have his own lulav and etrog should make an effort to obtain a community set or borrow one from a friend.
On Shabbat, Hoshanot are not said; on Sunday, the section for Shabbat is said (before the section for Sunday). The bimah is not circled during the section for Shabbat.
On Hoshana Rabbah, all Torah scrolls are taken to the bimah and held by those who do not have a lulav and etrog (or placed on the bimah). Seven paragraphs of Hoshanot are recited, and the bimah is circled seven times, as indicated below.
