THE THREE FESTIVALS—PESACH, SHAVUOT, AND SUKKOT
EVENINGS KIDDUSH
When a festival occurs on Shabbat say שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם through אֶתְקִינוּ... בְּהַדָּא (pages 309–312) quietly, before saying Kiddush.
When the festival occurs on a weekday, say the following line before Kiddush:

Prepare the meal of God, the King Who is most high. This is the meal attended by the Holy One blessed be He and His Divine Presence.

It is written in the Torah: It was the sixth day, the last day of the creation of the universe. The heaven and the earth and all of the creations within them, were completed. By the seventh day, God finished His work of creating the universe, which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work, which He had done. God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on that day He rested from all His work—the universe that God created to continuously function.
