Your shining face. For with the light of Your shining face, Lord,<sup>1</sup> our God, You gave us the Torah of life, loving-kindness, righteousness, blessing, mercy, life, and peace. May it be a good thing in Your eyes to bless Your nation, the Children of Israel, with Your peace at all times and at every moment. Blessed are You, Lord, Who blesses His nation, the Children of Israel, with the blessing of peace.

Open my heart to Your Torah so that I will understand it properly, and let my soul always chase after Your commandments. Quickly cancel the ideas of any people thinking of doing evil to me, and ruin their plans. Let them be like chaff—the small, inedible shells of grain—that flies away in the wind, and let the angel of the Lord push them away. Help me with Your right hand, and answer my prayers in order to save the Jewish Nation, Your precious nation, from trouble. Do it in order to make Your name great, so that everyone will recognize that You are a great God; do it in order to strengthen Your right hand, Whose glory has become weakened during exile; do it in order to reveal the greatness of Your Torah; do it in order to increase Your holiness in this world.

Bow forward and take three steps back. Bow to the left while saying עֹשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם בִּמְרוֹמָיו; bow forward while saying הוּא; bow to the right while saying יַעֲשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם עָלֵינוּ; and bow forward again while saying וְעַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְאִמְרוּ אָמֵן.

The silent Amidah ends here.
In the presence of a minyan, the chazzan repeats the Amidah, starting on page 540. The congregation should listen carefully to the chazzan and respond אָמֵן after each blessing. It is also customary to respond בָּרוּךְ הוּא וּבָרוּךְ שְׁמוֹ each time the chazzan says בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ.
After the repetition of the Amidah, the chazzan says Complete Kaddish, page 959 followed by אֵין כֵּאלֹהֵינוּ and קַוֵּה, page 150.
