HAFTARAH
Once the Torah has been wrapped and covered, the Maftir says the following blessing for the Haftarah.

The Haftarah is read.
It is customary for all present to read the Haftarah quietly along with the reader.
After the Haftarah, the Maftir says the following blessings:<sup>1</sup>

Make us happy, Lord, our God, through Your servant Elijah the Prophet, who will announce the arrival of the Redemption, and through the coming of Mashiach, a descendant of the kingdom of the House of David, whom You anointed as king.
