לְיִשְׂרָאֵל עַמְּךָ נְתַתּוֹ בְּאַהֲבָה,
לְזֶרַע יַעֲקֹב, אֲשֶׁר בָּם בָּחָרְתָּ:

inheritance to idol-worshippers. Additionally, the uncircumcised nations cannot take part in Shabbat and its rest, because You lovingly gave Shabbat to the Children of Israel, Your nation. You gave it to the descendants of Jacob, whom You have chosen as Your nation.

The Jewish Nation will rejoice in Your kingship and goodness

English

Those who keep Shabbat and call it a pleasure will be happy that You are King. All of the Jewish Nation, Your people, who make the seventh day holy, will feel satisfied from Your goodness and they will enjoy it. You were pleased with the seventh day and made it holy. You called it the most desirable of all days.

Our God and the God of our fathers, please willingly accept our resting from work on Shabbat. Make us holy through Your commandments and give us our portion in Your Torah, so that we will be able to learn it properly. Satisfy us with Your goodness and make our souls happy with Your salvation. Make our hearts pure in order for us to serve You honestly and truthfully. Lord, our God, give us Your holy Shabbat as an inheritance—an everlasting gift—lovingly and willingly. All the Children of Israel, who make Your name holy, will rest on Shabbat. Blessed are You, Lord, Who makes Shabbat holy.

Lord, our God, may You continue to want the Children of Israel as Your nation and pay attention to their prayer.1 Return the service (offerings) to the Holy Temple, Your home. Accept with love and good will the fire offerings and prayer of the Children of Israel. May the service of Your nation, the Children of Israel, always find favor.

On Rosh Chodesh or Chol Hamoed, add the following. If omitted and the word מודים has not been said, say this paragraph then. If the word מודים has already been said, go back to the paragraph of רצה and continue from there. If the Amidah has already been concluded, it must be repeated. During the chazzan's repetition of the Amidah, the minyan responds Amen as shown.

Our God and the God of our fathers, may the following memories rise up, come, and reach You, be seen, desired, heard, recalled, and remembered by You: the memories and recollections of us and the good things that we and our fathers did for You; the memory of Mashiach, who is a descendant of King David, Your servant; the memory of Jerusalem, Your holy city, which is in ruins; and the memory of Your entire nation, the House of Israel, should all be remembered before You. Remember these things, God, for deliverance from hardship, goodness, graciousness, kindness, mercy, good life, and peace, on this special day of:

Remember us, Lord, our God, on it for good things, (Amen) remember us on it for blessing, (Amen) and help us on it to have a good life. May our eyes witness the final Redemption, when Your Divine Presence will return to the holy city of Jerusalem with mercy. Blessed are You, Lord, Who brings His Divine Presence back to Jerusalem.
