לָנוּ מֶלֶךְ אֶלָּא אַתָּה, אֱלֹהֵי
הָרִאשׁוֹנִים וְהָאַחֲרוֹנִים. אֱלוֹהַּ כָּל
בְּרִיּוֹת, אֲדוֹן כָּל תּוֹלָדוֹת, הַמְהֻלָּל
בְּרוֹב הַתִּשְׁבָּחוֹת, הַמְנַהֵג עוֹלָמוֹ
בְּחֶסֶד וּבְרִיּוֹתָיו בְּרַחֲמִים.

English

for us, answers our prayers, and is merciful in all times of trouble and difficulty. We have no King besides You, God of all generations—from the first generations of the world to the last. He is the God of all creations and the Master of everything that happens. He is praised with many types of praises. He guides His world with kindness and His creations with mercy.

English

Indeed, the Lord never stops watching over the world; He is like a guard who does not slumber and does not sleep. God wakes up those who sleep; He even awakens those who sleep deeply. He causes mute people to talk, frees those who are imprisoned, supports those who fall, and straightens those whose backs are bent. To You alone, God, we must give thanks for doing these things.

Even if our mouths were filled with songs of praise for You as the sea is filled with water, and our tongues were filled with loud song as the roar of the ocean's waves, and our lips filled with praise as wide as the sky, and our eyes shined as bright as the sun and the moon,1 and our hands were spread out in joy and praise as wings of eagles in the sky,2 and our feet were swift as deer to run and sing Your praises—we would still not be able to thank You enough, Lord, our God and the God of our fathers, and we would still not be able to bless Your name enough, for even one of the countless favors, miracles, and wonders that You have done for us and for our fathers before us. Therefore, the body parts that You have arranged in us, the spirit and the soul that You have blown into our nostrils, and the tongue that You have put into our mouths—they will all thank, bless, praise, proclaim beautiful, exalt, glorify, proclaim holy, and declare as king—Your name, God, our King. God, every mouth will thank You. Every tongue will swear only by Your name. Every eye will look only to You for help. Every knee will bend only to You. All who stand straight will bow only before You. Every person's heart will fear only You. Every person's innermost feelings and thoughts will sing praises only to Your name. All of this will happen, as it is written in Psalms: All of my bones and my entire body will say, "Lord, who is like You? You save a poor person from someone who is stronger than him, and You save a poor person and a needy person from someone who wants to rob him."

God, Who is similar to You? Who is equal to You? Who is comparable to You? No one is like You, because You are the mighty, great, powerful, awesome, and most high God, the creator of heaven and earth. We will laud, praise, and glorify You, and we will bless Your holy name. As it is said by King David in Psalms: My soul blesses the Lord, and my entire being blesses His holy name.
