Answer us, Lord. Please answer us on our fast day, because we are in a time of great difficulty. Do not turn to look at our wickedness and our sins; do not hide Your face from us, and do not ignore our requests. Please come close to us, and listen to our cries, and please give us Your kindness so that we will be comforted. Answer us even before we call out to You, as it is said in Isaiah: And it will be that even before they will call out to Me, I will answer them; while they are still saying words of prayer, I will listen to them and help them. We turn to You, because You, Lord, are the One Who answers us and helps us in our difficult times, and Who redeems us and rescues us during all the difficult and hard times. Blessed are You, Lord, Who answers the prayers of His nation, the Children of Israel, in their difficult times.
