How to read the transliterationsSEQUENCE FOR DONNING THE TEFILLIN
1. ... Angle the tefillin slightly toward the body... cinch the knot... wind the strap twice around the biceps... coil the strap seven times about the forearm... bind what remains of the strap about the hand and the palm.
2. Set the head tefillin upon the head, centered exactly above the face.
3. At the top of the nape of the neck, the knot of the head tefillin should rest centered.
4. Form three coils on the middle finger: the first coil about the lower phalanx, the second coil about the middle phalanx, and the third over the first coil. Wind the rest of the strap about the palm and secure the end.
