Liturgy for Festivals

Minha starts at page 222 on Erev Yom Tov. Should Shabbat Ḥol HaMo’ed occur, or Yom Tov fall upon Shabbat, Ma’ariv opens with Psalm 29 at page 376.

If Yom Tov comes on a weekday, Ma’ariv opens with Barekhu at page 396; if Ḥol HaMo’ed comes on a weekday, Ma’ariv opens with “He is compassionate” at page 206.

This Amida is recited at Shaharit, Minha and Ma’ariv on Yom Tov Pesaḥ, Shavuot, Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret and Simḥat Torah, though not on Ḥol HaMo’ed.

עמידה לשחרית, מנחה ומעריב

AMIDA AT SHAHARIT, MINHA AND MA’ARIV

This prayer, as far as “in former years” at page 832, is recited in silence, standing with feet together. Should a minyan be present, the Leader repeats the Amida aloud, save during Ma’ariv. Advance three steps forward and, at each mark shown by ▼, flex the knees upon the first word, bow upon the second, then stand erect before uttering God’s name.
