דְּרוֹר יִקְרָא לְבֵן עִם בַּת
וְיִנְצָרְכֶם כְּמוֹ בָבַת
נְעִים שִׁמְכֶם וְלֹא יֻשְׁבַּת
שְׁבוּ נוּחוּ בְּיוֹם שַׁבָּת.

Sephardi

Deror yikra leven im bat
Veyintzarkhem kemo vavat
Naim shimkhem velo yushbat
Shevu nuchu beyom Shabbat.

English

God proclaims freedom to boy and girl, And guards you like the pupil of His eye. Your name is pleasant, never will it cease. Rest and be at ease on the Sabbath day.

דְּרוֹשׁ נָוִי וְאוּלָמִי
וְאוֹת יֶשַׁע עֲשֵׂה עִמִּי
נֶטַע שׂוֹרֵק בְּתוֹךְ כַּרְמִי
שְׁעֵה שַׁוְעַת בְּנֵי עַמִּי.

Derosh navi ve'ulami
Ve'ot yesha aseh imi
Neta sorek betoch karmi
She'eh shavat benei ami.

English

Seek my Temple and my hall, And show me a sign of salvation. Plant a shoot in my vineyard. Hear the cry of my people.

English

Tread the winepress in Botzra, And in Babylon which overpowered. Crush my foes in anger and wrath, Hear my voice on the day I cry.

English

God, let there be on the desert mountain, Myrtle, acacia, cypress and box tree. To one who warns and one who is warned, Let peace flow like river waters.

בְּמוֹג לֵבָב וּבִמְגִנָּה

English

Crush those who rise against me, zealous God, Melting their heart with grief. Then we will open and fill our mouths, And tongues with songs of joy to You.

וְהִיא כֶתֶר לְרֹאשֶׁךָ
נְצוֹר מִצְוַת קְדוֹשֶׁךָ
שְׁמוֹר שַׁבַּת קָדְשֶׁךָ.

De'eh chochmah lenafshecha

Netzor mitzvat kedoshecha
Shmor Shabbat kodshecha.

English

Know what is wisdom for your soul, And it will be a crown for your head. Keep your Holy One’s command, Observe your holy Sabbath day.

יְדֵי אַסְחֵי אֲנָא לְגַבֵּי חַד מָנָא, לְסִטְרָא חוּרְבָא דְלֵית בֵּהּ מַשָּׁשָׁא

Yedei aschei ana legabei chad mana, lesitra churva deleit beh mashasha

English

I shall wash my hands with one vessel, to that Shadow Side that has no existence of its own.

אֲזַמֵּן בִּתְלָתָא בְּכַסָּא דְבִרְכְתָא, לְעִלַּת עִלָּאָה עַתִּיקָא קַדִּישָׁא

Sephardi

Azamen bitlata bechasa devirchata, le'ilat ila'ah atika kadisha

English

If we are three then I shall invite [the others to Grace] over a cup of blessing, for that First Cause of all causes, the Ancient Holy One.
