וַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה, הִנְנִי מַמְטִיר לָכֶם לֶחֶם מִן־הַשָּׁמָיִם, וְיָצָא הָעָם
וְלָקְטוּ דְּבַר־יוֹם בְּיוֹמוֹ, לְמַעַן אֲנַסֶּנּוּ הֲיֵלֵךְ בְּתוֹרָתִי אִם־לֹא׃ וְהָיָה בַּיּוֹם
הַשִּׁשִּׁי, וְהֵכִינוּ אֵת אֲשֶׁר־יָבִיאוּ, וְהָיָה מִשְׁנֶה עַל אֲשֶׁר־יִלְקְטוּ יוֹם יוֹם׃
וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן אֶל־כָּל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, עֶרֶב וִידַעְתֶּם כִּי יהוה הוֹצִיא
אֶתְכֶם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם׃ וּבֹקֶר וּרְאִיתֶם אֶת־כְּבוֹד יהוה, בְּשָׁמְעוֹ אֶת־
תְּלֻנֹּתֵיכֶם עַל־יהוה, וְנַחְנוּ מָה כִּי תַלִּינוּ עָלֵינוּ׃ וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה, בְּתֵת יהוה
לָכֶם בָּעֶרֶב בָּשָׂר לֶאֱכֹל וְלֶחֶם בַּבֹּקֶר לִשְׂבֹּעַ, בִּשְׁמֹעַ יהוה אֶת־תְּלֻנֹּתֵיכֶם
אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּם מַלִּינִם עָלָיו, וְנַחְנוּ מָה, לֹא־עָלֵינוּ תְלֻנֹּתֵיכֶם כִּי עַל־יהוה׃
וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֶל־אַהֲרֹן, אֱמֹר אֶל־כָּל־עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, קִרְבוּ לִפְנֵי יהוה
כִּי שָׁמַע אֵת תְּלֻנֹּתֵיכֶם׃ וַיְהִי כְּדַבֵּר אַהֲרֹן אֶל־כָּל־עֲדַת בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל, וַיִּפְנוּ
אֶל־הַמִּדְבָּר, וְהִנֵּה כְּבוֹד יהוה נִרְאָה בֶּעָנָן׃
וַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר׃ שָׁמַעְתִּי אֶת־תְּלוּנֹּת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, דַּבֵּר
אֲלֵהֶם לֵאמֹר בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִם תֹּאכְלוּ בָשָׂר וּבַבֹּקֶר תִּשְׂבְּעוּ־לָחֶם, וִידַעְתֶּם כִּי
אֲנִי יהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃ וַיְהִי בָעֶרֶב, וַתַּעַל הַשְּׂלָו וַתְּכַס אֶת־הַמַּחֲנֶה, וּבַבֹּקֶר
הָיְתָה שִׁכְבַת הַטַּל סָבִיב לַמַּחֲנֶה׃ וַתַּעַל שִׁכְבַת הַטָּל, וְהִנֵּה עַל־פְּנֵי
הַמִּדְבָּר דַּק מְחֻסְפָּס, דַּק כַּכְּפֹר עַל־הָאָרֶץ׃ וַיִּרְאוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיֹּאמְרוּ

The LORD said to Moses: I shall rain bread down upon you from the sky. And the people shall go out and gather, each day their daily needs, so that I may test whether they will follow My Law or not. And on the sixth day, as they prepare what they bring home, it shall be twice what they gather every day. And so Moses and Aaron told all the people of Israel, "By evening you shall know that it was the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and in the morning you shall see the glory of God, who has heard all your protest against Him - as for us, who are we that you should stir up protest against us?" Moses said, "The LORD shall give you meat to eat in the evening, and bread in the morning to satisfy your hunger, when the LORD heeds the protest you have stirred up against Him - as for us, who are we? Your protest is not for us but for the LORD." Then Moses said to Aaron, "Tell all the congregation of Israel: Draw near to the LORD, for He has heard your protest." And when Aaron spoke to all the congregation of Israel, they turned toward the desert and there was the glory of God, revealed in a cloud. The LORD said to Moses, "I have heard the protest of the people of Israel. Speak to them, tell them, by evening you shall eat meat, and in the morning, bread will satisfy you, and you shall know that I am the LORD your God." When evening came, quail rose up and covered the camp, and in the morning, a layer of dew surrounded the camp. And as the layer of dew lifted - there on the surface of the desert was a fine, round substance, fine as frost upon the land. And the
