א אֲנִי מַאֲמִין בֶּאֱמוּנָה שְׁלֵמָה
שֶׁהַבּוֹרֵא יִתְבָּרַךְ שְׁמוֹ הוּא בּוֹרֵא וּמַנְהִיג לְכָל הַבְּרוּאִים
וְהוּא לְבַדּוֹ עָשָׂה וְעוֹשֶׂה וְיַעֲשֶׂה לְכָל הַמַּעֲשִׂים.

Sephardi

alef. Ani maamin be'emunah shelemah
shehaborei yitbarach shemo hu borei umanhig lechol haberu'im
vehu levado asah ve'ose veyaase lechol hamaasim.

English

1. I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, blessed be His name, creates and rules all creatures, and that He alone made, makes, and will make, all things.

Hebrew

ב אֲנִי מַאֲמִין בֶּאֱמוּנָה שְׁלֵמָה
שֶׁהַבּוֹרֵא יִתְבָּרַךְ שְׁמוֹ הוּא יָחִיד
וְאֵין יְחִידוּת כָּמוֹהוּ בְּשׁוּם פָּנִים
וְהוּא לְבַדּוֹ אֱלֹהֵינוּ, הָיָה הֹוֶה וְיִהְיֶה.

Sephardi

bet. Ani maamin be'emunah shelemah
shehaborei yitbarach shemo hu yachid
ve'ein yechidut kamohu beshum panim
vehu levado Eloheinu, hayah hoveh veyihyeh.

English

2. I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, blessed be His name, is One; that there is no Oneness like His in any way; and that He alone is our God who was, is, and ever will be.

Hebrew

ג אֲנִי מַאֲמִין בֶּאֱמוּנָה שְׁלֵמָה
שֶׁהַבּוֹרֵא יִתְבָּרַךְ שְׁמוֹ אֵינוֹ גוּף
וְלֹא יַשִּׂיגוּהוּ מַשִּׂיגֵי הַגּוּף
וְאֵין לוֹ שׁוּם דִּמְיוֹן כְּלָל.

Sephardi

3. Ani maamin be'emunah shelemah
shehaborei yitbarach shemo eino guf
velo yasiguhu masigei haguf
ve'ein lo shum dimyon kelal.

English

3. I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, blessed be His name, is not physical, that no physical attributes can apply to Him, and that there is nothing whatsoever to compare to Him.

ד אֲנִי מַאֲמִין בֶּאֱמוּנָה שְׁלֵמָה
שֶׁהַבּוֹרֵא יִתְבָּרַךְ שְׁמוֹ הוּא רִאשׁוֹן וְהוּא אַחֲרוֹן.

4. Ani maamin be'emunah shelemah
shehaborei yitbarach shemo hu rishon vehu acharon.

English

4. I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, blessed be His name, is first and last.

Hebrew

ה אֲנִי מַאֲמִין בֶּאֱמוּנָה שְׁלֵמָה
שֶׁהַבּוֹרֵא יִתְבָּרַךְ שְׁמוֹ לוֹ לְבַדּוֹ רָאוּי לְהִתְפַּלֵּל
וְאֵין רָאוּי לְהִתְפַּלֵּל לְזוּלָתוֹ.

Sephardi

5. Ani maamin be'emunah shelemah
shehaborei yitbarach shemo lo levado ra'ui lehitpalel
ve'ein ra'ui lehitpalel lezulato.

English

5. I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, blessed be His name, is the only one to whom it is proper to pray, and that it is improper to pray to anyone else.

Hebrew

ו אֲנִי מַאֲמִין בֶּאֱמוּנָה שְׁלֵמָה
שֶׁכָּל דִּבְרֵי נְבִיאִים אֱמֶת.

Sephardi

6. Ani maamin be'emunah shelemah
shekol divrei nevi'im emet.

English

6. I believe with perfect faith that all the words of the prophets are true.

Hebrew

ז אֲנִי מַאֲמִין בֶּאֱמוּנָה שְׁלֵמָה
שֶׁנְּבוּאַת מֹשֶׁה רַבֵּנוּ עָלָיו הַשָּׁלוֹם הָיְתָה אֲמִתִּית
וְשֶׁהוּא הָיָה אָב לַנְּבִיאִים, לַקּוֹדְמִים לְפָנָיו וְלַבָּאִים אַחֲרָיו.

Sephardi

7. Ani maamin be'emunah shelemah
shenevuat Moshe rabeinu alav hashalom hayetah amitit
veshehu hayah av lanevi'im, lakodmim lefanav velaba'im acharav.

English

7. I believe with perfect faith that the prophecy of Moses our teacher, peace be to him, was true, and that he was the father of the prophets - those who preceded him and those who followed him.
