בְּרַח דּוֹדִי אֶל מְכוֹן לְשִׁבְתֶּךָ
וְאִם עָבַרְנוּ אֶת בְּרִיתֶךָ
אָנָּא זְכֹר אִוּוּי חִפַּתֶּךָ
הָקֵם קֹשֶׁט מִלָּתֶךָ / בּוֹנֵן מִשׂוֹשׂ קִרְיָתֶךָ
הַעֲלוֹתָהּ עַל רֹאשׁ שִׂמְחָתֶךָ

Berach dodi el mechon leshivtekha
Ve'im avarnu et britekha
Ana zechor ivui chipatekha
Hakeim koshet milatekha - bonen misos kiryatekha
Ha'alotah al rosh simchatekha
English
Hasten, my Beloved, to the place You made for Your dwelling, and though we have violated Your covenant, please recall Your betrothal love for us. Affirm the truth of Your word; rebuild the city of Your joy, and set her above Your highest joy!

Hasten, my Beloved, to Your tabernacle in Shalem [Jerusalem], and though we have strayed from Your path, please gaze out from Your gap, and save a destitute, oppressed nation; calm Your wrath against them, and let them find everlasting shelter under Your wing.

Hasten, my Beloved, to the place Your eyes and heart are set upon, and though we have neglected Your goodly Law, please listen to the roar of Your enemies and their tumult. Let their blood soak the earth; may the dust be saturated by their fats, and may the stench of their corpses rise.

Hasten, my Beloved, to Your lofty Home of old, and though we have betrayed by denying Your word, please, listen to the outpouring of our whispered prayers. Draw me out of the sinking mire; save those You hold close as the reflection in Your eye, as You once did [in Egypt], in [Nisan,] the first month.

בִּגְלַל אָבוֹת תּוֹשִׁיעַ בָּנִים, וְתָבִיא גְּאֻלָּה לִבְנֵי בְנֵיהֶם
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה, גָּאַל יִשְׂרָאֵל.

Biglal avot toshi'a banim, vetavi ge'ulah livnei veneihem
Baruch atah Adonai, ga'al Yisrael.
English
For the sake of the ancestors, redeem the descendants, bringing salvation to their children's children. Blessed are You, LORD, who redeemed Israel.
