On the fourteenth day of the first month there shall be a Pesaḥ offering to the LORD. And on the fifteenth day of this month there shall be a festival: seven days unleavened bread shall be eaten. On the first day there shall be a sacred assembly: you shall do no laborious work. And you shall bring an offering consumed by fire, a burnt-offering to the LORD: two young bullocks, one ram, and seven yearling male lambs; they shall be to you unblemished. And you shall perform their meal-offerings, fine flour mixed with oil, three-tenths of an ephah for each bull, two-tenths of an ephah for the ram; and one-tenth of an ephah for each of the seven lambs; and one goat for a sin-offering, to make atonement for you. All this aside from the morning burnt-offering, the daily offering; You shall offer all of these as food, on each of the seven days, a burnt-offering by fire of pleasing aroma to the LORD, along with the regular daily offering and its libation. On the seventh day there shall be a sacred assembly: you shall do no laborious work.

Joshua said to the people, "Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD shall work wonders in your midst." And Joshua said to the priests, "Lift up the Ark of the Covenant and walk ahead of the people" - and so they walked out ahead of the people. The LORD said to Joshua, "On this day I shall begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, to have them know that just as I was with Moses, so will I be with you."
Josh. 5:2-6:1

*At that time, the LORD said to Joshua: make knives of flint for yourself and circumcise the children of Israel again. So Joshua made for himself knives of flint and circumcised the children of Israel on the Hill of Aralot [foreskins]. This is why Joshua had to circumcise them. All of the males who had left Egypt, all the men of battle, had died in the desert on their way up from Egypt. For all of the nation who had left
