אָז בְּבוֹא מְחָרֵף סָתַם עֵינוֹת מָיִם.
לְצִיּוֹן מִכְלַל יֹפִי הוֹשַׁע נָא וְהוֹשִׁיעָה נָא, אָבִינוּ אָתָּה.

English
For the sake of one who thought to do Your will, who declared repentance to all Your flock; then, when the blasphemer came, he stopped up all springs of water – Zion, perfect beauty – save, please: save us, please: You are our Father.

לְמַעַן דְּרָשׁוּךָ בְּתוֹךְ הַגּוֹלָה, וְסוֹדְךָ לָמוֹ נִגְלָה
בְּלִי לְהִתְגָּאֵל דָּרְשׁוּ זֵרְעוֹנִים וּמַיִם.
לְקוֹרְאֶיךָ בַּצַּר הוֹשַׁע נָא וְהוֹשִׁיעָה נָא, אָבִינוּ אָתָּה.
Sephardi
Lema'an derashucha betoch hagolah, vesodcha lamo niglah
Beli lehitga'el darshu zer'onim umayim.
Lekor'echa batzar hosha na vehoshiah na, Avinu atah.
English
For the sake of those who sought You from the heart of Exile, to whom Your secrets were revealed, and not to be tainted [by meat and wine] they asked for grains and water – those who cry out to You from their distress – save, please: save us, please: You are our Father.

מְחַכְּמֵנוּ אֲמָרִים הַמְּשׁוּלִים בְּרַחֲבֵי מָיִם.
לְרַבָּתִי עַם הוֹשַׁע נָא וְהוֹשִׁיעָה נָא, אָבִינוּ אָתָּה.

Lema'an gamar chochmah uvinah, sofer mahir maflish amanah
Mechakkemenu amarim hameshulim berachavei mayim.

For the sake of one who learned wisdom and insight, the keen-minded scribe who set forth a pledge, the one who made us wiser with words deep as oceans of water – the [city that] flocked with people – save, please: save us, please: You are our Father.

For the sake of those who come to You today with all their hearts, who pour out their words without two minds, who ask of You Your mighty torrents of water – those who sang at the sea – save, please: save us, please: You are our Father.

לְמַעַן אוֹמְרֵי יִגְדַּל שְׁמָךְ, וְהֵם נַחֲלָתְךָ וְעַמְּךָ
צְמֵאִים לִישׁוּעָתְךָ כְּאֶרֶץ עֲיֵפָה לְמָיִם.
לָחָרֵף לָמוֹ מְנוּחָה הוֹשַׁע נָא וְהוֹשִׁיעָה נָא, אָבִינוּ אָתָּה.

Lema'an omrei yigdal shemach, vehem nachalatcha ve'amcha
Tzeme'im lishuatecha ke'eretz ayefah lemayim.
Lacharef lamo menuchah hosha na vehoshiah na, Avinu atah.
English
For the sake of those who say “May Your name be magnified” – and they are Your inheritance, Your people; who thirst for Your salvation as an arid land thirsts water – those for whom You sought out a resting place – save, please: save us, please: You are our Father.

Put down the Lulav and Etrog and pick up the Hoshanot.
