The one who brought his offering on the first day of the dedication was Nachshon son of Aminadav, leader of the tribe of Judah. His offering consisted of one silver plate that weighed one hundred and thirty shekel (approximately 5.5 lbs), one silver dish that weighed seventy shekel of the holy shekel (approximately 3 lbs); both were filled with fine flour mixed with olive oil to be offered as a flour-offering. He also brought one golden spoon weighing ten holy shekel (approximately 6.7 ounces), filled with incense.
