So says the Lord, God: It will be on that day—the day when Gog will come against the Land of Israel, My blazing anger will flare up. Because of My zealotry, I have spoken in My fiery anger: On that day, there will surely be a great noise caused by an earthquake in the Land of Israel. The fish of the sea, the birds that fly in the heaven, the beasts of the field, all the creatures that creep upon the earth, and all men on the face of the earth will tremble before Me. The mountains will be destroyed, stairways will collapse, and every city wall will fall to the ground. So says the Lord, God: I will summon the sword against the army of Gog, wherever they may be, throughout all My mountains; the sword that I shall summon will be their very own swords, and in their confusion each man's sword will be against his brother. I will pass My judgment on him with plagues and with blood, and I will cause torrential rains, hailstones, fire, and brimstone to rain down upon him and upon his hordes and upon the many nations that are with him. Through this I will be exalted, sanctified, and renowned in the eyes of many nations and they will know that I am the Lord. Now, you, Ezekiel, son of man, prophesy regarding Gog and say: So says the Lord, God: Behold My anger is upon you, Gog, chief leader of Meshech and Tubal. I will cause you to follow your heart, and I will cause you to be convinced to fight against the Jewish Nation a second time. I will bring you up from the ends of the north, and I will bring you to the mountains of Israel. There I will hit your bow out of your left hand and cause your arrows from your right hand to fall. You and all of your hordes, and the nations that are with you will all fall dead on the mountains of Israel, and I will give you to all the winged birds of prey and to the beasts of the field as food. You will fall upon the battlefield, whether on the mountains or in the fields, for just as I have spoken, My word will be fulfilled, says the Lord, God. I will send forth fire to destroy the people of Magog along with those who will come to fight with Magog who dwell on the islands thinking that they are secure, and they will know that I am the Lord. nation, the Children of Israel. I will no longer cause My Holy Name to be profaned by allowing the Jewish Nation to suffer at the hands of their enemies, and the nations will then know that I, the Lord, am holy and dwell among the Children of Israel. So says the Lord, God: Behold, the time of My salvation is coming—this is the day of which I have spoken. The inhabitants of the cities of Israel will then go out and make fires and they will fuel the fires with the weapons, shields, buckles, bows, arrows, pikes, and spears of the people of Magog; there will be so many weapons that they will keep the fires burning for seven years. They will not need to carry wood from the fields nor cut down from the forests, for they will fuel their fires with the weapons. They will take the spoil from those who despoiled them during the time of exile and the booty from those who plundered them, says the Lord, God. It will be on that day that I will give Gog a place as a grave there in Israel, in the valley of the passersby, to the east of the Sea of the Kineret. There will be so many corpses of the fallen fighters of Gog that they will block the travelers from passing. Therefore, they will bury Gog and all his hordes there, and they shall call it the Valley of the Multitude of Gog. The people of Israel will bury them in order to purify the land from the defilement these corpses will cause, and it will take them seven months to complete the burial. They will bury all the people who died in their land, and it will bring them renown as merciful people who bury their enemies. It is a day when I will be honored, says the Lord, God. At the end of the seven months of burial, they will need to set aside men of full-time employment, who will pass through the land to search for unburied corpses, and with the help of the passersby, they will bury those bodies left on the face of the land in order to purify it. When the passersby travel through the land and see a human bone, they shall build a marker next to it so that no one is defiled by touching it until the buriers come and bury it in the Valley of the Multitudes of Gog. The name of the city next to the valley will also be for these events and it will be called Hamonah—Multitudes. By gathering all of the corpses from the entire land to this one place, they will purify the land.
