We acknowledge and are thankful to You,1 that You, Lord, are our God and the God of our fathers, forever and ever. You are the strength of our life and the shield that protects and saves us in every generation. We will give thanks to You and tell Your praise. We will thank and praise You for our lives, which are completely in Your hand, for our souls, which are kept securely by You, for the miracles that You perform for us every day, and for Your wonders and goodness that are always with us. Three times a day we praise You: in the evening, in the morning, and in the afternoon: Maariv, Shacharit, and Minchah. You are the Good God, because Your mercy never ends. You are the Merciful God, because Your kindness never stops. We pray to You, for we have always put our hopes in You and trusted in You.

English

We acknowledge and are thankful to You, that You, Lord, are our God and the God of our fathers. You are the God Who rules over all flesh, our Creator, and the Creator of everything that exists. We give blessings and thanks to Your great and holy name, because You have given us life and kept us alive. May You continue to give us life and keep us alive. Gather us from our exile and bring us to the courtyards of Your Holy Temple, so that we will return to serving You—to keep Your laws, to do Your will, and to serve You with a complete heart. We also thank You for letting us give thanks to You for all the good things You do for us. Blessed is God, Who is worthy of thanks.

English

Our God and the God of our fathers, bless us with the three-part blessing found in the Torah, which was written by Your servant, Moses, and said by Aaron and his sons, the Kohanim, who are called Your holy nation. As it says in the Torah: May the Lord bless you with livelihood and guard your possessions from thieves. (Amen) May the Lord shine His joyful face upon you and be gracious to you. (Amen) May the Lord, holding back His anger, turn His merciful face toward you, and give you peace. (Amen)
