Bow forward and take three steps back. Bow to the left while saying עֹשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם בִּמְרוֹמָיו; bow forward while saying הוּא; bow to the right while saying וְיַעֲשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם עָלֵינוּ; and bow forward again while saying וְעַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְאִמְרוּ אָמֵן.
On the Shabbat before Yom Kippur, say הַשָּׁלוֹם instead of שָׁלוֹם.
Grant peace to the Jewish Nation

The heaven and the earth and all of the creations within them, were completed. By the seventh day, God finished His work of creating the universe, which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work, which He had done.<sup>1</sup> God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on that day He rested from all His work—the universe that God created to continuously function.

God was a shield for our fathers; He gave Abraham His word that He would protect him from harm. God brings the dead back to life by speaking, by commanding them to become alive again. He is the holy (King) God, and there is nothing like Him. He gives rest to His people on His holy day of Shabbat, because He wanted to give rest to them and not to any other nation. We will serve before Him with awe and fear, and we will give thanks to His name every day, continually, with the appropriate blessings of that day. He is the God to Whom it is fitting to give thanks. He is the master of peace, Who makes the Shabbat holy and blesses the seventh day. In holiness, He gives rest to the Jewish Nation, the nation that is filled with pleasure on Shabbat. All of this is done to remember Your work, the creation of the universe.
