KIDDUSH ON THE EVENINGS OF PESACH, SHAVUOT AND SUKKOT
If a festival falls on Shabbat, quietly say שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם through אַתְקִינוּ...בַּהֲדָהּ (pages 176-178) prior to reciting Kiddush.
If a festival falls on a weekday, say the following before Kiddush:
Chabad
askinu s'ud'so d'malko ilo-oh, do hi s'ud'so
d'kud'sho b'rich hu ush'chin'teih*:
Recite the Kiddush while standing.
Grasp the cup of wine with the right hand, transfer it to the left hand, then rest it upon the palm of the right hand. (See illustration, page 641.) Throughout the Kiddush, keep the cup three tefachim (approximately 9 in.) above the table.
Those who hear the Kiddush should answer אָמֵן as indicated. Consult further laws on pages 603-604.
Look upon the festival candles, then say:
Begin here on Shabbat.

At this point on Sukkot's first night, לֵישֵׁב בַּסֻּכָּה is recited, followed by שֶׁהֶחֱיָנוּ. Reverse that order on the second night.
Do not recite the following blessing on Pesach's final two nights.
Hebrew
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה, אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, שֶׁהֶחֱיָנוּ וְקִיְּמָנוּ*

On Sukkot, while in the sukkah, add (when uttering the words לֵישֵׁב בַּסֻּכָּה, look at the sukkah covering):
Hebrew
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה, אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָׁנוּ* בְּמִצְוֹתָיו

Chabad
boruch atoh Adonoy, Eloyheinu melech ho-oylom, asher kid'shonu* b'mitzvoysov
v'tzivonu leisheiv basukoh: (Omein)
From the cup pour some wine to be given to those listening, and while seated drink at least 2 ounces of the wine that remains.
For the meal, everyone present washes their hands (see Laws on page 603), saying the fitting blessing, taking care not to talk until after eating of the challah. Holding both loaves, the head of the household says the blessing for bread, and gives a piece to each person, who then says the blessing over the bread.
