Shacharit for Shabbat and Festivals

Reading of the Torah

סדר קריאת התורה

Chabad: ' is a reduced vowel — every vocal shva, always pronounced. - separates syllables that would otherwise run together.

How to read the transliterations
The oleh, the person summoned to the Torah, ought to take the briefest path available toward the bimah.
Festival Torah readings commence on page 467.

BLESSINGS OVER THE TORAH

With the corner of your tallit (or the Torah's sash), touch the start and finish of the Torah reading and kiss it. Shut the Torah, grasp both handles, incline your head a little toward the right, and say:
Hebrew
בָּרְכוּ* אֶת יְהֹוָה הַמְבֹרָךְ*:
Chabad
bor'chu* es Adonoy ham'voyroch*:
Congregation and oleh recite:
Hebrew
בָּרוּךְ יְהֹוָה הַמְבֹרָךְ* לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד:
Chabad
boruch Adonoy ham'voyroch* l'oylom vo-ed:
Oleh continues:
Hebrew
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, אֲשֶׁר בָּחַר בָּנוּ
מִכָּל הָעַמִּים, וְנָתַן לָנוּ אֶת תּוֹרָתוֹ. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה
יְהֹוָה, נוֹתֵן הַתּוֹרָה:

boruch atoh Adonoy Eloyheinu melech ho-oylom, asher bochar bonu
mikol ho-amim, v'nosan lonu es Toyrosoy. boruch atoh
Adonoy, noysein hatoyroh:
While the aliyah proceeds, grasp the Torah's right handle, and read softly together with the reader.

WHEN THE ALIYAH IS CONCLUDED

With the corner of your tallit (or the Torah's sash), touch the finish and start of the Torah reading and kiss it. Shut the Torah, grasp both handles, incline your head a little toward the right, and say:
Hebrew
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לָנוּ
תּוֹרַת אֱמֶת, וְחַיֵּי עוֹלָם נָטַע בְּתוֹכֵנוּ. בָּרוּךְ
אַתָּה יְהֹוָה, נוֹתֵן הַתּוֹרָה:
Chabad
boruch atoh Adonoy Eloyheinu melech ho-oylom, asher nosan lonu
Toyras emes, v'chayei oylom nota b'soycheinu. boruch
atoh Adonoy, noysein hatoyroh:
Once the aliyah is done, stand at the right of the next oleh until his aliyah concludes (if this was the final aliyah, remain standing at the bimah until the raising of the Torah). Prior to departing the bima (or if this was the final aliyah, prior to the Torah being raised), with the corner of your tallit (or the Torah's sash), touch the Torah scroll's exterior and kiss it. On going back to your seat, avoid taking the briefest path.
When the last aliyah is over, the Torah is draped and Half Kaddish is said.1
Congregation replies אָמֵן as indicated.
