Israeli: ' marks a reduced vowel that Israeli speech drops (b'rachah); when the vowel is pronounced it is written e (lefanecha). - separates syllables that would otherwise run together.

Sixth B’rakhah: Thanksgiving for Life and Its Blessings

Should the Amidah be recited in silence, we read the paragraph that follows. Should the Amidah be chanted aloud, the leader speaks this paragraph as the congregation reads the passage that follows.
Hebrew

We thank You, for always You are our God and the God of our ancestors; the bedrock of our lives are You, the shield guarding us through every generation. We thank You and sing praises to You—for lives of ours that rest in Your hands, for souls of ours that remain under Your care, for daily miracles of Yours that accompany us, and for wonders of Yours and gifts of Yours beside us at every moment—evening, morning, and noon. Good are You, whose mercy is never-ending; compassionate are You, whose love is unceasing. Our hope we have always placed in You.
When the leader repeats the full Amidah, this paragraph is recited by the congregation, remaining seated by custom and bowing slightly.
