1 Chronicles 16:8–36

English
All the earth, sing to Adonai; tell of God’s deliverance day after day. Speak to the nations of God’s glory, recount God’s wonders among all peoples. For Adonai is great, surely worthy of praise, more to be revered than other gods. For the nations’ gods are man-made idols, yet Adonai fashioned the very heavens. Grandeur and glory form God’s honor guard; strength and joy where God is found. Peoples of the world, offer to Adonai: offer honor and strength to Adonai, offer Adonai the honor due God’s name; bring a thanksgiving gift and enter God’s presence, bow to Adonai amid the splendor of this holy place. All who dwell on earth, tremble before God’s presence, yet the land shall remain firm and unshaken. Let heaven be glad and earth rejoice, as the world’s peoples declare, “Adonai reigns.” Let the sea roar in its fullness, let the meadow and all growing in it exult; let the forest trees sing at God’s approach, for Adonai comes to judge the earth. Render thanks to Adonai, for God is good; for God’s love is everlasting. Say, “Save us, God of our deliverance; gather us up and rescue us from among the nations, so we may offer praise to Your holy name and bow in homage to You. Blessed is Adonai, Israel’s God, forever and ever!” Then the whole people answered, “Amen, may Adonai be praised.”
