How to read the transliterationsהושענות
HOSHANOT
On every day of Sukkot, Hoshanot are recited following the Leader’s Repetition of Musaf’s Amida (and in certain congregations after Hallel).
The Ark is opened on weekdays, and a Torah scroll is brought to the bima.
Those of the congregation holding a Lulav and Etrog circle about the bima and recite Hoshanot. Mourners take no part in the circuit.
When the Hoshanot are finished, the Torah scroll is restored to the Ark, which is then shut.
On Shabbat, proceed to page 908. On Hoshana Raba, proceed to page 910.
