מְחַיֵּה מֵתִים אַתָּה, רַב לְהוֹשִׁיעַ

Atah gibor le'olam Adonai
Mechayeh meitim atah, rav lehoshia
English
You are eternally mighty, LORD. You give life to the dead and have great power to save.
Hebrew
תְּהוֹמוֹת הוֹמוֹת לְרָסִיסוֹ כְּסוּפִים
וְכָל נְאוֹת דֶּשֶׁא לוֹ נִכְסָפִים.
טַל זִכְרוֹן גְּבוּרוֹת מוֹסִיפִים
חָקוּק בְּגִישַׁת מוּסָפִים
טַל, לְהַחֲיוֹת בּוֹ נְקוּקֵי סְעִיפִים.
Sephardi
Tehomot homot lerasiso kesufim
Vechol ne'ot deshe lo nichsafim.
Tal zichron gevurot mosifim
Chakuk begishat musafim
Tal, lehachayot bo nekukei se'ifim.
English
The depths of the earth yearn for drops of dew; all the green pastures long for them. The mention of dew adds to His might, inscribed as we approach in the Musaf prayer. Dew – to revive those [buried] in the clefts of the rocks.

קוֹמֵם עִיר בָּהּ חֶפְצָךְ בְּטַל.

Komem ir bah cheftzach betal.
English
Dew – Grant it to favor Your land; in Your jubilation, set us as a blessing. Increase for us our corn and wine. Establish the city in which You delight – With dew.

פְּרִי הָאָרֶץ לְגָאוֹן וּלְתִפְאֶרֶת

שִׂימָה בְיָדְךָ עֲטֶרֶת בְּטַל.

English
Dew – Decree it for a good and resplendent year; may the fruit of the earth be fine and fair. As for the city now deserted like a hut, place it in Your hand like a crown – With dew.

English
Dew – May it drop gently on the blessed land; satisfy us with a blessing of the rich gifts of heaven. Send light in the midst of darkness to the stock [Israel] who are drawn to You – With dew.
