HAKAFOT

In Ma’ariv and Shaharit of Simhat Torah the following is said after Full Kaddish (page 556).
Deut. 4
Hebrew
אַתָּה הָרְאֵתָ לָדַעַת, כִּי יְהֹוָה הוּא הָאֱלֹהִים, אֵין עוֹד מִלְבַדּוֹ׃
Sephardi
Atah har'eta lada'at, ki Adonai hu ha'Elohim, ein od milvado.
English
You have been shown [these things] so that you may know that the LORD is God; besides Him there is no other.
Ps. 136
Hebrew
לְעֹשֵׂה נִפְלָאוֹת גְּדֹלוֹת לְבַדּוֹ, כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ׃
Sephardi
Le'oseh nifla'ot gedolot levado, ki le'olam chasdo.
English
To the One who alone does great wonders, His loving-kindness is forever.
Ps. 86
Hebrew
אֵין־כָּמוֹךָ בָאֱלֹהִים, אֲדֹנָי, וְאֵין כְּמַעֲשֶׂיךָ׃
Sephardi
Ein-kamocha va'Elohim, Adonai, ve'ein kema'asecha.
English
There is none like You among the heavenly powers, my LORD, and there are no works like Yours.
Ps. 104

יְהִי כְבוֹד יְהֹוָה לְעוֹלָם, יִשְׂמַח יְהֹוָה בְּמַעֲשָׂיו׃

Yehi chevod Adonai le'olam, yismach Adonai bema'asav.
English
May the LORD’s glory be forever; may the LORD rejoice in His works.

Yehi sheim Adonai mevorach, me'atah ve'ad-olam.

May the LORD’s name be blessed from now and forever.

אַל־יַעַזְבֵנוּ וְאַל־יִטְּשֵׁנוּ׃

Yehi Adonai Eloheinu imanu, ka'asher hayah im-avoteinu.
Al-ya'azvenu ve'al-yiteshenu.
English
May the LORD our God be with us as He was with our ancestors; may He never leave us or forsake us.

English
Say, “Save us, God our Savior; gather and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in praise of You.”

Adonai melech, Adonai malach, Adonai yimloch le'olam va'ed.
English
The LORD is King, the LORD was King, the LORD will be King for ever and all time.
Ps. 29
Hebrew
יְהֹוָה עֹז לְעַמּוֹ יִתֵּן, יְהֹוָה יְבָרֵךְ אֶת־עַמּוֹ בַשָּׁלוֹם׃
Sephardi
Adonai oz le'amo yiten, Adonai yevarech et-amo vashalom.
English
The LORD will give strength to His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace.

וְיִהְיוּ נָא אֲמָרֵינוּ לְרָצוֹן, לִפְנֵי אֲדוֹן כֹּל׃

English
May our words find favor before the LORD of all.

Vayehi binso'a ha'aron vayomer Moshe
Kumah Adonai veyafutzu oyevecha, veyanusu mesanecha mipanecha.
English
Whenever the Ark set out, Moses would say, “Arise, LORD, and may Your enemies be scattered; may those who hate You flee before You.”

קוּמָה יְהֹוָה לִמְנוּחָתֶךָ, אַתָּה וַאֲרוֹן עֻזֶּךָ׃
כֹּהֲנֶיךָ יִלְבְּשׁוּ־צֶדֶק, וַחֲסִידֶיךָ יְרַנֵּנוּ׃

Kumah Adonai limnuchatecha, atah va'aron uzecha.

English
Advance, LORD, to Your resting place, You and Your mighty Ark. Your priests are clothed in righteousness, and Your devoted ones sing for joy. For the sake of Your servant David, do not reject Your anointed one.
Is. 25

הִנֵּה אֱלֹהֵינוּ זֶה קִוִּינוּ לוֹ, וְיוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ

In that day they will say, “This is our God; we trusted in Him, and He saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in Him; let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”

מַלְכוּתְךָ מַלְכוּת כָּל־עֹלָמִים, וּמֶמְשַׁלְתְּךָ בְּכָל־דֹּר וָדֹר׃

Malchutecha malchut kol-olamim, umemshaltecha bechol-dor vador.
English
Your kingdom is an eternal kingdom, and Your dominion is for all generations.
Is. 2

כִּי מִצִּיּוֹן תֵּצֵא תוֹרָה, וּדְבַר־יְהֹוָה מִירוּשָׁלַיִם׃

Ki miTziyon teitzei Torah, udevar-Adonai miYerushalayim.

For the Torah shall come forth from Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

אָב הָרַחֲמִים, הֵיטִיבָה בִרְצוֹנְךָ אֶת־צִיּוֹן, תִּבְנֶה חוֹמוֹת יְרוּשָׁלַיִם׃

Av harachamim, heitivah virtzoncha et-Tziyon, tivneh chomot Yerushalayim.
English
Father of compassion, favor Zion with Your goodness; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
Hebrew
כִּי בְךָ לְבַד בָּטָחְנוּ, מֶלֶךְ אֵל רָם וְנִשָּׂא, אֲדוֹן עוֹלָמִים׃
Sephardi
Ki vecha levad batachnu, Melech Eil ram venisa, Adon olamim.
English
For we trust in You alone, King, God, high and exalted, Master of worlds.
