THE AMIDA
The prayer that follows, until “in former years” on page 248, is recited in silence, standing with feet together. If a minyan is present, the Leader repeats the Amida aloud. Take three steps forward and at the points marked by ▾, flex the knees at the first word, bow at the second, and stand erect before saying God’s name.
