When a minyan is present, the chazzan repeats the Amidah, beginning on page 94. The congregation ought to attend closely to the chazzan and answer אָמֵן after each blessing. Custom also is to answer בָּרוּךְ הוּא וּבָרוּךְ שְׁמוֹ whenever the chazzan recites בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה.
On ordinary days (see exceptions below), proceed to Tachanun.
Omit Tachanun on Chanukah, Rosh Chodesh, and Chol Hamoed; on Purim, Shushan Purim, Purim Kattan, and Shushan Purim Kattan; on Tu B'shvat, Pesach Sheini, and Lag B'omer; throughout the month of Nissan; from Rosh Chodesh Sivan until the 12th of Sivan; on Tishah B'av, Tu B'av, and Erev Rosh Hashanah; and from Erev Yom Kippur until the close of the month of Tishrei. Per Chabad custom, it is likewise omitted on the 10th, 19th, and 20th days of Kislev, together with the 12th and 13th of Tammuz.
Further, omit Tachanun whenever a circumcision is to occur in the synagogue that day, or whenever one of the principal figures in the circumcision (such as the father, mohel, or sandek) stands in the synagogue; whenever a bridegroom stands in the synagogue on his wedding day or during the week of Sheva Brachos; and throughout the shivah period in a house of mourning.
On Rosh Chodesh, Chol Hamoed, and Chanukah, proceed to Hallel, page 530. On every other occasion when Tachanun is omitted, the chazzan proceeds to Half Kaddish, page 957. Should no minyan be present, proceed with אַשְׁרֵי, page 129.
