BLESSINGS UPON THE TORAH
With the sash of the Torah, touch the start and finish of the reading, then kiss it. Shut the Torah, grasp both handles, turn your head a little toward the right, and say:
Chabad
bor'chu* es Adonoy ham'voyroch*:
Congregation and oleh respond:
Chabad
boruch Adonoy ham'voyroch* l'oylom vo-ed:
The oleh proceeds:

While the aliyah proceeds, grasp the Torah's right handle, and read in a low voice together with the reader.
AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE ALIYAH
With the corner of the Torah's sash, touch the finish and start of the reading and kiss it. Shut the Torah, grasp both handles, turn your head a little toward the right, and say:

atoh Adonoy, noysein hatoyroh:
Once the aliyah is done, remain standing at the right of the next oleh until his aliyah ends (should it have been the last aliyah, remain at the bimah until the Torah is raised). Prior to leaving the bima (or should it have been the last aliyah, prior to the Torah being raised), touch the Torah scroll's exterior with the corner of the Torah's sash and kiss it. As you return to your seat, avoid the shortest route.
THE RAISING OF THE TORAH
Prior to raising the Torah, open it so that at least three columns and one seam are shown. Raise the Torah, turning leftward and rightward, that all who are present may see the text. Set the opened Torah again upon the bimah and roll it shut with a seam centered between the two rollers. Lift the closed Torah and sit while holding it.
When the Torah is raised the congregation stands, gazes at the Torah, and recites aloud:
