In winter (from the Musaf of Shemini Atzeret until Shacharit of Pesach's first day), say מַשִּׁיב הָרוּחַ וּמוֹרִיד הַגֶּשֶׁם. In summer (from Musaf of Pesach's first day through Shacharit of Shemini Atzeret), say מוֹרִיד הַטָּל. If one said מַשִּׁיב הָרוּחַ וּמוֹרִיד הַגֶּשֶׁם in summer by error, it must be corrected, and repeating the Amidah may be required (for additional laws, see page 589).
