Minchah for Weekdays

Viduy and Tachnun

וידוי ותחנון

Chabad: ' is a reduced vowel — every vocal shva, always pronounced. - separates syllables that would otherwise run together.

How to read the transliterations
Step backward three paces, then incline left saying עֹשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם בִּמְרוֹמָיו, incline forward saying הוּא, incline right saying יַעֲשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם עָלֵינוּ, and incline forward saying וְעַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְאִמְרוּ אָמֵן.
From Rosh Hashanah until Yom Kippur, use הַשָּׁלוֹם in place of שָׁלוֹם.

Here the individual's Amidah concludes. (The chazzan reiterates the Amidah, beginning on page 103; the congregation answers Amen after each blessing.)

THE REPRISE OF THE AMIDAH

Worshipers must attend closely to the chazzan and answer Amen at the close of every blessing. Should there not be at least nine men who answer Amen after the blessings, it amounts to a blessing in vain. It is fitting to reply with "Boruch Hu u'Voruch Shemo" ("Blessed is He and Blessed is His Name") whenever the chazzan says Blessed are You, Lord.
Following the Amidah, Viduy and Tachnun are said.
On days when Tachnun is omitted,2 the chazzan proceeds with Complete Kaddish, page 114.

VIDUY AND TACHNUN

Stand while saying Tachnun.
