The Torah’s Return

Into the ark the Torah scroll is placed. Private meditations, like those found on page 169, may be recited at this point as well.

English
Each time the ark was set down, Moses would say: Adonai, may You dwell among the myriad families of Israel’s people. Return, Adonai, You and Your glorious ark, to Your sanctuary. Robe Your priests in righteousness, and let Your faithful sing for joy. For David Your servant’s sake, do not turn aside from Your anointed. A precious inheritance have I given you: do not abandon My teaching. For those who grasp it, it is a tree of life, and blessed are all who cling to it. Pleasant are its ways; all its paths are peace. Turn us toward You, Adonai, and we shall return to You; make our days seem fresh, as once they were.
The ark is shut.
