The Amidah

Section 1: 0:00
Reader

Israeli: ' marks a reduced vowel that Israeli speech drops (b'rachah); when the vowel is pronounced it is written e (lefanecha). - separates syllables that would otherwise run together.

How to read the transliterations
A personal prayer or one of the following concludes the silent recitation of the Amidah:

Grant me Shabbat’s liberating joy, the ability to taste its delights truly. Let sorrow not weigh down my heart on this holy Shabbat. Fill Your servant’s soul with gladness—for my entire being I offer to You, Adonai. Help me increase Shabbat’s joys and carry its joyful spirit into the other six days of the week. Make known to me the path of life, that joy at being in Your presence may fill me, the delight of remaining close to You forever.
