PESUKEI DEZIMRA
Recite the following opening blessing of Pesukei DeZimra (Verses of Praise) while standing, grasping the two front tzitziot of the tallit. Kiss them and release them when the blessing ends at “songs of praise” (on the next page). Conversation is forbidden from this prayer’s beginning through the Amida’s close. See table on pages 1384–1386 for permitted congregational responses.
