יוֹדוּ לַיהוָה חַסְדּוֹ, וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָם׃ כִּי־הִשְׂבִּיעַ נֶפֶשׁ שֹׁקֵקָה,
וְנֶפֶשׁ רְעֵבָה מִלֵּא־טוֹב׃ יֹשְׁבֵי חֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת, אֲסִירֵי עֳנִי וּבַרְזֶל׃
כִּי־הִמְרוּ אִמְרֵי־אֵל, וַעֲצַת עֶלְיוֹן נָאָצוּ׃ וַיַּכְנַע בֶּעָמָל לִבָּם, כָּשְׁלוּ
וְאֵין עֹזֵר׃ וַיִּזְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְהוָה בַּצַּר לָהֶם, מִמְּצֻקוֹתֵיהֶם יוֹשִׁיעֵם׃
יוֹצִיאֵם מֵחֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת, וּמוֹסְרוֹתֵיהֶם יְנַתֵּק׃ יוֹדוּ לַיהוָה חַסְדּוֹ,
וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָם׃ כִּי־שִׁבַּר דַּלְתוֹת נְחֹשֶׁת, וּבְרִיחֵי בַרְזֶל גִּדֵּעַ׃
אֱוִלִים מִדֶּרֶךְ פִּשְׁעָם, וּמֵעֲוֺנֹתֵיהֶם יִתְעַנּוּ׃ כָּל־אֹכֶל תְּתַעֵב נַפְשָׁם,
וַיַּגִּיעוּ עַד־שַׁעֲרֵי מָוֶת׃ וַיִּזְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְהוָה בַּצַּר לָהֶם, מִמְּצֻקוֹתֵיהֶם
יוֹשִׁיעֵם׃ יִשְׁלַח דְּבָרוֹ וְיִרְפָּאֵם, וִימַלֵּט מִשְּׁחִיתוֹתָם׃ יוֹדוּ לַיהוָה
חַסְדּוֹ, וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָם׃ וְיִזְבְּחוּ זִבְחֵי תוֹדָה וִיסַפְּרוּ מַעֲשָׂיו
בְּרִנָּה׃ יוֹרְדֵי הַיָּם בָּאֳנִיּוֹת, עֹשֵׂי מְלָאכָה בְּמַיִם רַבִּים׃ הֵמָּה רָאוּ
מַעֲשֵׂי יְהוָה, וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו בִּמְצוּלָה׃ וַיֹּאמֶר, וַיַּעֲמֵד רוּחַ סְעָרָה,
וַתְּרוֹמֵם גַּלָּיו׃ יַעֲלוּ שָׁמַיִם, יֵרְדוּ תְהוֹמוֹת, נַפְשָׁם בְּרָעָה תִתְמוֹגָג׃
יָחוֹגּוּ וְיָנוּעוּ כַּשִּׁכּוֹר, וְכָל־חָכְמָתָם תִּתְבַּלָּע׃ וַיִּצְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְהוָה
בַּצַּר לָהֶם, וּמִמְּצוּקֹתֵיהֶם יוֹצִיאֵם׃ יָקֵם סְעָרָה לִדְמָמָה, וַיֶּחֱשׁוּ
גַּלֵּיהֶם׃ וַיִּשְׂמְחוּ כִי־יִשְׁתֹּקוּ, וַיַּנְחֵם אֶל־מְחוֹז חֶפְצָם׃ יוֹדוּ לַיהוָה
חַסְדּוֹ, וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָם׃ וִירֹמְמוּהוּ בִּקְהַל־עָם, וּבְמוֹשַׁב
זְקֵנִים יְהַלְלוּהוּ׃ יָשֵׂם נְהָרוֹת לְמִדְבָּר, וּמֹצָאֵי מַיִם לְצִמָּאוֹן׃ אֶרֶץ
פְּרִי לִמְלֵחָה, מֵרָעַת יוֹשְׁבֵי בָהּ׃ יָשֵׂם מִדְבָּר לַאֲגַם־מַיִם, וְאֶרֶץ
צִיָּה לְמֹצָאֵי מָיִם׃ וַיּוֹשֶׁב שָׁם רְעֵבִים, וַיְכוֹנְנוּ עִיר מוֹשָׁב׃ וַיִּזְרְעוּ
שָׂדוֹת, וַיִּטְּעוּ כְרָמִים, וַיַּעֲשׂוּ פְּרִי תְבוּאָה׃ וַיְבָרְכֵם וַיִּרְבּוּ מְאֹד,
וּבְהֶמְתָּם לֹא יַמְעִיט׃ וַיִּמְעֲטוּ וַיָּשֹׁחוּ, מֵעֹצֶר רָעָה וְיָגוֹן׃ שֹׁפֵךְ בּוּז

live. Let them thank the LORD for His loving-kindness and His wondrous deeds for humankind, for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good. Some sat in darkness and the shadow of death, cruelly bound in iron chains, for they had rebelled against God's words and despised the counsel of the Most High. He humbled their hearts with hard labor; they stumbled, and there was none to help. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. He brought them out from darkness and the shadow of death and broke open their chains. Let them thank the LORD for His loving-kindness and His wondrous deeds for humankind, for He shattered gates of bronze and broke their iron bars. Some were fools with sinful ways, and suffered affliction because of their iniquities. They found all food repulsive, and came close to the gates of death. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. He sent His word and healed them; He rescued them from their destruction. Let them thank the LORD for His loving-kindness and His wondrous deeds for humankind. Let them sacrifice thanksgiving-offerings and tell His deeds with songs of joy. Those who go to sea in ships, plying their trade in the mighty waters, have seen the works of the LORD, His wondrous deeds in the deep. He spoke and stirred up a tempest that lifted high the waves. They rose to the heavens and plunged down to the depths; their souls melted in misery. They reeled and staggered like drunkards; all their skill was to no avail. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper, and the waves of the sea grew calm. They rejoiced when all was quiet, then He guided them to their destination. Let them thank the LORD for His loving-kindness and His wondrous deeds for humankind. Let them exalt Him in the assembly of the people and praise Him in the council of the elders. He turns rivers into a desert, springs of water into parched land, fruitful land into a salt marsh, because of the wickedness of its inhabitants. He turns the desert into pools of water, parched land into flowing springs; He brings the hungry to live there, they build themselves a town in which to live. They sow fields and plant vineyards that yield a fruitful harvest; He blesses them, and they increase greatly, their herds do not decrease, though they had been few and brought low by oppression, adversity and sorrow. He pours contempt on nobles and makes them wander in a pathless waste. • He lifts the destitute from poverty and enlarges their families like flocks. The upright see and rejoice, but the mouth of all wrongdoers is stopped. Whoever is wise, let him lay these things to heart, and reflect on the loving-kindness of the LORD.
