[We thank You also] for the miracles, the redemption, the mighty deeds, the salvations, the wonders, the consolations and the victories in battle which You performed for our ancestors in those days, at this time. In the days of Mordekhai and Esther, in Shushan the capital, the wicked Haman rose up against them and sought to destroy, slay and exterminate all the Jews, young and old, children and women, on one day, the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar, and to plunder their possessions. Then You in Your great compassion thwarted his counsel, frustrated his plans, and caused his scheme to recoil on his own head, so that they hanged him and his sons on the gallows.

BIRKAT KOHANIM ON PUBLIC FAST DAYS

On public fast days only, the following is said by the Leader during the Repetition of the Amida, except in a house of mourning. In Israel, on Fast Days, if Kohanim bless the congregation, turn to page 890. See laws 371-378.
If there are no Kohanim to perform the blessing, the Leader says:
Hebrew
