<english>O let it accord with Your will, Lord, our God and the God of our fathers, that even as I wipe out chametz from my home and from what I possess, so likewise may You wipe out all the outside forces that oppose holiness, banish the spirit of impurity from the world, take the evil inclination from us, and grant us a heart of flesh that senses holiness, unlike a heart of stone that senses nothing, to serve You in truth. Consume all evil, all the unholy forces, and all the wickedness in smoke. Take away the dominion of evil from the land. Wipe out all who stand against the Divine Presence with a spirit of destruction and justice, even as You consumed the Egyptians and their gods in those days, at this time. <text>1 This paragraph was originally written in Hebrew. However, in the times of the Geonim, (about 1000-1400 years ago) many people did not understand Hebrew, so the Geonim decided that it should be said in the common language at that time, Aramaic. That way, everyone would be able to understand the words.</text>

<text>1 This is a very brief description of the order of the Passover offering. A God-fearing person should say it in its proper time, so that its recital should be regarded as being in place of offering the Passover offering. One should be troubled about the destruction of the Holy Temple, and plead before God, the Creator of the world, that He rebuild it speedily in our days, Amen.</text>
