<english>The Torah records: It was the sixth day, creation's final day for the universe. The heaven and the earth and all of the creations inside them, stood complete. By the seventh day, God concluded His work of forming the universe, that He had performed, and He ceased upon the seventh day from all His labor, that He had performed. God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, for on it He ceased from all His labor—the universe that God created to perpetually function.</english>

<text>1 Shabbat is referred to as Shabbat Kodesh, while Yom Tov is referred to as Mikra Kodesh, which literally means "called holy." The holiness of Shabbat is beyond anything in this world and cannot relate to an ordinary weekday. The festival, which often coincides with a weekday, "calls" forth the holiness of Shabbat and draws it down into the days of the week.</text>
