They comprise: Torah—one possession;1 heaven together with earth—one possession; Abraham our patriarch—one possession; the Children of Israel constitute one possession; the Holy Temple constitutes one possession. How is it known that God claims the Torah as His own? For Scripture states in Proverbs: The Lord acquired the Torah prior to the world's creation, prior to His work, long ago. How is it known that God claims heaven and earth as His own? For Scripture states in Isaiah: The Lord speaks thus: Heaven is My throne and earth My footstool, so which house could you build for Me? And where shall My resting place be? And as King David recites in Psalms: Lord, how numerous are the works of Your hands! You fashioned them all with great wisdom. The earth is filled with Your possessions. How is it known that God claimed as His own Abraham our patriarch? For Scripture states in the Torah: And Malkizedek offered him blessing and said: Blessed be Abraham, who is of God, the Highest, Owner of heaven and earth. How is it known that God claims the Children of Israel as His own? For Scripture states in the Torah: Lord, drive off any foes until Your nation passes over; until this people, which You acquired, passes the Jordan River and enters the Land of Israel in safety. And it states in Psalms: The sacred people who lie buried in the</english>
