<english>Moses rejoiced in the gift of his portion—the Shabbat commandment, for as You even called him such, he was a "faithful servant," ever rejoicing in the service of his master.1 As he stood in Your presence at Mount Sinai, You bestowed a beautiful spiritual crown upon his head, which made his face shine. He carried down the two stone Tablets in his hand for the Jewish Nation, and the precept of keeping Shabbat was written on one of them. Beyond what was written on the Tablets, Your Torah also records:</english>

<text>1 The Jewish Nation is considered to be both children and servants of God. We may either relate to God lovingly, as a child relates to a father, or we may relate to Him obediently, as a servant relates to a master. Moses achieved the ultimate servant-master relationship, and for this reason He merited receiving the title, "faithful servant." On the one hand, he followed God with complete obedience, regardless of his own feelings. Yet, at the same time, he "rejoiced" in God's commandments and carried them out with love.</text>
