Some souls, however, are provided with a “ship”—a strong community of God-fearing Jews, which helps keep them afloat. Other souls find themselves in an environment where Judaism is scarce, and this causes them a great deal of pain. (The Hebrew word for “ship,” אֳנִי, can also be translated as “pain.”) It is our responsibility to “do work in the mighty waters”—to help save these souls by creating a Jewish environment in which they can stay afloat and thrive.",

Each of these represents a spiritual danger that a person may face during the work week, when he is less exposed to Godliness: 1) The desert—being involved in empty, unproductive pursuits. 2) Prison—becoming imprisoned by the evil inclination. 3) Illness—becoming ill and weak in heart or mind. 4) Drowning—becoming caught up and overwhelmed with business pursuits. We thank God for saving us from these four dangers on a daily basis.",
