<english>of a pestilence that prowls in the night’s darkness, nor of a pestilence that prowls in the afternoon. Though pestilences bring a thousand souls to fall down at your left side and ten thousand at your right side and perish, it shall not come upon you. With your eyes merely look, and you shall behold that the wicked people are punished. This comes about for you declared, “You, Lord, are my shelter,” and you made God, the Most High, into your refuge. No harm shall befall you, and no pestilence shall draw near your tent, for God will bid His angels for your sake to watch you along all your paths. In their hands the angels will bear you, lest you strike your foot upon a stone. Upon lions and serpents you will tread; young lions and serpents you will trample and suffer no harm. God declares, “I will rescue a person because he desires Me, and I will fortify him because he knows My great name and reveres Me. When he calls to Me, I will rescue him. In times of trouble I am together with him. From his troubles I will deliver him and honor him. I will satisfy him by granting him long life, and I will show him My salvation.” I will satisfy him by granting him long life, and I will show him My salvation.</english>

<english>longing and the purpose of the hearts of the Jewish nation. Direct their hearts toward You. God is merciful and pardons our sins; He does not destroy us on their account. Time and again He turns His wrath aside from us, and He does not arouse the whole of His wrath. For You, Lord, are good and forgiving, and You possess abundant kindness for all those who cry out to You. Everlasting is Your righteousness, and truth is Your Torah. Reveal to the Children of Jacob the truth of Your promise; render the Jewish Nation a great nation as You pledged. Bestow kindness upon the descendants of Abraham, as You pledged to our fathers in days of old. Blessed is the Lord. Daily He heaps blessings upon us. Forever He is the God Who is our salvation. Always with us is the Lord, the God of all creations. Our stronghold is the God of Jacob; forever He will grant us strength. Lord, God of all creations, happy is the one who trusts in You. Rescue us, Lord; may the King of the universe respond to us on the day we cry out to Him.</english>
