<english>Blessed are You, Lord, our God, Sovereign of all worlds, Who, by His utterance brings dusk upon the evenings. With wisdom, He opens the gates of heaven so sun and moon may shine. With understanding, He alters the times of light and darkness, and He sets distinct seasons for heat and for cold. He sets the stars in their fitting places in the sky, according to His will. God fashions day and night. He withdraws the light before dusk falls and withdraws the darkness before dawn arrives. He lets the day depart and thereafter ushers in the night. He makes a division between day and night. God's name is "God of every created thing." Blessed are You, Lord, Who brings dusk upon the evenings.</english>

<text>1 This phrase can also be translated as "love of the world." God's love for us is as great as the entire world, much as a son means "the world" to his father and is loved by Him very much.</text>

<text>Alternatively "love of the world" refers to a love that is expressed through the world. It is out of God's great love for us that He "left" the higher spiritual worlds, created this physical world, and gave us His Torah and commandments so we can connect to Him.</text>
