<english>It is our obligation to praise God, the Master of all things, to ascribe greatness to the Creator of all existence. Offer Him praise for He has not made us like the remaining nations of the world. He has granted every one of us a soul that is part of Himself, and He has not set us to stand like the other families of the earth, who lack the Torah and its commandments. We ought to praise Him for He has not given us a portion like theirs; He has granted us His Torah. He has not assigned us a lot like that of all their people; for they bow down to false gods—to emptiness and nothingness. But we bend our knees, prostrate ourselves, and offer praise unto the Most High King of all kings, the Holy One, blessed be He, Who unfurls the heavens and founds the earth. His glorious throne stands in heaven above, and the abode of His majesty rests in heaven, in the greatest spiritual heights. He is our God; none other exists. Truly, He is our King; nothing exists besides Him, as His Torah writes: Know that the Lord is God; let it be as sure to you as though you beheld today the revelation of God as it occurred at the Giving of the Torah. Set it upon your heart. Truly feel and trust what you know: that the Lord is the God in the heavens above and upon the earth below. Nothing else exists.</english>

<english>Therefore, we place our hope in You, Lord, our God, for nothing exists besides You. We yearn soon to behold the splendor of Your strength, which You will employ to sweep idolatry from the earth. The false gods that people serve shall be utterly destroyed. We aim to perfect the world under the Almighty's dominion, so that all people will know of You and invoke Your name. We hope to make all the earth's wicked people repent and turn to You.
