<english>אל ארך Almighty One, slow to anger are You, named the All-Merciful One, and the way of repentance have You taught. This day and every day, remember how vast Your compassion and lovingkindness are toward the descendants of Your beloved. In mercy turn to us, for the All-Merciful One are You. With prayer and supplication we approach You, as You made known to [Moses] the humble one in former days. From Your fierce anger turn, as Your Torah records.1 May we take refuge and abide under the shadow of Your wings, as on that day when "the Lord descended in a cloud.2 Pass over [our] transgression and blot out [our] trespass as on that day when "He stood with him [Moses] there."2 Give ear to our plea and attend to our supplication, as on that day when "he [Moses] invoked the Name of the Lord;"2 and it is there said:</english>
