<text>By candlelight one is to search in every concealed place, even fissures in the floor. Between the blessing and the start of the search one must not speak, even concerning the search itself. During the search, one should refrain from speaking of anything unrelated to the search. Household members should stand nearby to hear the blessing, each then searching his own place without speaking in between. They should start the search in the chamber closest to where the blessing was heard, and should not proceed to another room immediately after the blessing. Once the search is finished, one must take care that the chametz retained (to be eaten or to be burnt in the morning) be placed in a secure spot, lest it be carried about and thereby crumbled and spread by children or rodents.</text>
